Receptionist CV example

By the MyAdminCV team · Updated 28 October 2026

What a strong receptionist CV looks like, with example lines you can adapt.

What employers look for

Receptionist adverts ask for a professional telephone manner, a neat appearance, Microsoft Office and often a few years of reception or switchboard experience. Many also ask for other tasks: invoicing, filing, data capturing, petty cash or couriers. Some ask for fluent Afrikaans and English, a driver's licence or reliable transport, or work on some Saturdays. If any of those apply to you, say so near the top.

Tips

Questions people ask

How do I show customer service on a receptionist CV?
With numbers (visitors a day, calls a day) and results (compliments from clients, no missed calls, tidy front desk). Avoid just writing "excellent customer service".
Do medical or legal receptionists need a different CV?
The basics are the same, but add the systems and terms of that field, such as medical aid billing or conveyancing procedures.
